Pope Benedict XVI has appointed Bishop Samuel J. Aquila as archbishop for the Catholic Archdiocese of Denver. The Holy See made the announcement today at noon in Rome. Ireland just hosted the 50th international Eucharistic Congress, a global Catholic event held every four years. Twenty thousand pilgrims were on hand for the opening ceremony in Dublin. This is the good news. But the not so good news is that too many Catholics around the world, including many worshipping alongside you on Sundays, do not believe in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
